A Funeral Service for Gene Drury of Johnstown will be held Friday April 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main St in Johnstown. Interment will be at Bennington Cemetery.
Gene was born on Dec 7, 1931 in Bennington Township to the late Forest Hayes and Pansy Lucille (Parsons) Drury. He died Sunday March 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia and grandson Dustin Kincaid. Gene is survived by his daughters Janet (William) Goodman, Cathy (Doug) Dawson, Susan (Bud) Moore, and Barb (Brian) Rose; grandchildren Marshall (Jill) Goodman and Loren Goodman, Danielle (Dan) Meeks, Audrey Dawson(Fiancé Kale White), Neil Dawson, Sara (Caleb) Peterman, Andrea (Colin) Wykle, Ashley (Matt) Beckler, Lindsay Rose (Fiancé Zack Torrens), and Taylor Rose. Great-grandchildren Maxx, Ava, Ella, Landon Gene, Hannah and Baleigh. Also surviving are his sister Brenda (William) Conard, sister-in-law Patricia Adams, nieces and nephews Diane Maicon, Jeff Adams and Katie Hux.
Gene was a member of the Johnstown HS Class of '49, was a dairy farmer for over 60 years, loved tractor pulls, hunting and was a true OSU Buckeye fan. Gene had a passion for April Fool's Day, and many remember him for his jokes.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. An online memorial will be at www.ckfraley.com. The family suggests contribution to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road Newark 43055 in Gene's memory.
